Presentation

Located on Level 0 of Building J, the FabLab is open to everyone within the school: students, doctoral students, teachers-researchers, administrative staff, etc.

Plan campus

You can come here to work on your study projects as well as your personal projects, either alone or in a team.
The 170 m² space dedicated to manufacturing and prototyping is divided into three areas:

  • Workshop : Where you can make noise and dust, and where equipment such as drills, saws, sanders, etc. are at your disposal. Hand tools and power tools are also available.
  • Coworking : To work in small groups and store wour work in progress.
  • Lab : This is the “clean” space where you can do electronics, modelling, 3D printing, etc. Stabilised power supplies, oscilloscopes, soldering irons, Arduino, Raspberry Pi and 3D printers are all available for your use.

This space shares the values of FabLabs. DIY (Do It Yourself) and DIWO (Do It With Others) are the keywords here. You are here to do things yourself and to do things with others. The FabManager is there to help you get to grips with the equipment and carry out your projects. He is not alone, as everyone in this space is also a potential resource for others. As you can see, mutual assistance is also a key feature of this place.

In this space, you are responsible: responsible for ensuring your own safety and that of others, responsible for keeping the place in good condition, tidy and clean.

The model may evolve, so your suggestions or contributions are welcome. :)

When the FabManager is absent, the FabLab remains open, but not all tools are available.
Always bear in mind that you should only use equipment that you are confident you know how to use. If you have any doubts, ask before you risk damaging the equipment or causing an accident!
